In fact, the cooling system does need to be occasionally flushed and refilled with the proper coolant (according to the specifications in the owner’s guide). While it is necessary for the car to hold the right amount of antifreeze, the quality of the liquid is also critical.

What is coolant?

Coolant is a 50/50 mix of antifreeze and water. Coolant is designed to keep the vehicle’s inner parts cool and rust free. It’s essential that you use high-quality antifreeze, which will not clog the system.
