About the 2022 U.S. Aftermarket Service Index (ASI) Study:
J.D. Power is an American-based global marketing information services company that conducts surveys of customer satisfaction, product quality, and buyer behavior for multiple industries. The ASI study is now in its third year and measures customer satisfaction with aftermarket service facilities, providing a numerical index ranking of the highest-performing facilities in the U.S. aftermarket. In the 2022 study, J.D. Power surveyed 9,979 vehicle owners, and asked them to rate aftermarket full-service maintenance and repair facilities in the following factors:
- Ease of scheduling/getting vehicle in for service
- Service Facility
- Service Advisor Performance
- Quality of Work
- Service Advisor Courtesy
- Fairness of Charges
- Time to Complete Service
ASI Study Results:
From a possible 1,000 points, Christian Brothers Automotive received the top overall satisfaction score of 825, 29 points above the segment average. Additionally, Christian Brothers Automotive took the highest satisfaction scores in three of the seven factors, including Quality of Work, Service Advisor Courtesy, and Service Facility.
Leonard Martin, Director of Automotive Retail at J.D. Power said, “As American consumers emerge from the pandemic, the demand for automotive service is on the upswing, and their service expectations remain high. This research confirms that independent specialty service providers still have a strong place in the market, especially if they emphasize strengths that include convenient locations and ease of doing business.
