What is the Importance of an Oil & Filter Change
Many Spring car owners might be guilty of putting off oil changes because it doesn’t seem like a big deal – but, this can cause serious problems. Since oil is used to lubricate the components of your engine to work seamlessly together, it needs to be smooth and clean of debris. When oil changes are ignored, your oil can become dirty and sludge-like, resulting in expensive or irreversible damage to your engine.
Some common signs that you might need an oil change include:
- Unusual engine noise
- Oil leaks on the ground
- Darker color than usual of the oil on the dipstick
- Poor gas mileage
- Check engine warning light is on
- Noticed a decrease in engine performance
- Your car feels slower while driving
Benefits of Oil Change Services
Some benefits that come with your standard oil change include:
- Improve Gas Mileage – Truth is, your engine runs smoother and more efficiently with clean and fresh oil. Once your oil and filter are replaced, your car will get better gas mileage!

- Reduces Emissions – Unfortunately, all vehicles produce pollution. You can help reduce the amount of pollution your car emitted by ensuring you are getting your oil changed regularly to prevent oil from burning.
- Comply with Warranty – If you have an extended warranty on your vehicle, chances are that your warranty includes some verbiage about getting proper and routine maintenance services to keep your warranty active.
- Ensures Routine Check-Ups – When you get an oil change, this also gives your professional mechanic a chance to inspect your engine! If any items need attention in your engine, your technicians will inform you, as well as any solutions they see fit.
